Gateshead Unitary Development Plan (UDP)

The Gateshead Unitary Development Plan, adopted in July 2007, is the statutory land use plan for the
Borough of Gateshead, in conjunction with the "The North East of England Plan - Regional Spatial Strategy to 2021" issued in July 2008.
The UDP remains in force until at least 2010 but is to be gradually replaced by a series of documents constituting
the Local Development Framework.
